OVIS ARIES
(SHETLAND SHEEP)

Though hailing from Scotland, a handful of Shetland Sheep found themselves on the lawn of the White House during the Jefferson administration. This song follows one of these sheep, who was coined ‘this abominable animal,’ by Thomas Jefferson himself, after it killed an eight-year old child on the lawn outside. Repenting for its sins, our sheep finds itself offering its fleece to stars, where the Ram, Aries, can be found. Myth claims that whilst attempting to save Athamas’ daughter, Aries drowned the child, and was slain for his own golden fleece as a form of tribute for his mistakes.
